Workshop Registration for Controlling the Trolling: Classroom Management for Teaching Gamers
Thank you so much for your interest. This 3 hour workshop is designed for all levels of teaching/lecturing faculty and assistants in games higher education who have struggled with disruptive student behaviour. Takeaways from this workshop include: a classroom management technique toolkit, practice using the toolkit, a revised syllabus which incorporates pro-social techniques, and commiseration and fellowship.

The workshop will take place on Monday, June 19, 2023 at DiGRA 2023's headquarters, the Faculty of Communication of the University of Seville. Exact time and location pending. There is no digital participation available for this workshop.

In order to participate, you must register using this form. Registration should take you no more than 10 minutes.

Filling out registration helps the workshop organizers prepare and manage the event, as well as keep in contact with you. Your responses may be used anonymously during the workshop and in documentation post-workshop (i.e. post-mortem review and class assessments). The event is limited to 30 attendees, so be sure to register early. There is no additional cost to participate in the workshop, but we do ask that you bring with you a syllabus you own and are comfortable revising, as well as a brief synopsis of a time in which you encountered incivility in the classroom which you are comfortable sharing with the group.

If you have any questions about this form or the workshop, please reach out to the workshop organizers at: Ashley.Guajardo@utah.edu or Nina.Feng@utah.edu.
