Minnesota Baseball Association Media Policy

The Minnesota Baseball Association has established a media policy manual to assist the media and provide rules regarding working media at the MBA amateur baseball state tournament.

All media members and those wishing to provide coverage of the MBA amateur baseball state tournament must submit a credential request to the MBA on mnbaseball.org. The deadline to file for the first weekend of games will be the Monday before the first weekend of state tournament games. Those media members covering multiple teams, teams that will not play until the second weekend or teams that will continue to play in the tournament will not need to apply for a media pass again. Media that wishes to cover a team or game after the first weekend must apply for a media credential on mnbaseball.org.

Media members who apply for credentials will receive a confirmation email that their request has been approved. Approved media members must enter ballparks at the pass gate and sign in with state tournament personnel/MBA Board of Director members to receive a media pass. Media members must clearly display their media pass at all times.

Working media will be directed to designated media areas by state tournament site hosts’ media liaisons. Press box space is limited but accommodations will be made for media to have a working space. Media members shall use the designated work space for the games they are covering and leave the space once they’ve completed their postgame duties.

Only media members with field access will be allowed onto the field and dugout areas. The MBA reserves the right to limit dugout and field access to media members/reporters/photographers at its discretion.
