Dear Applicant(s):
Thank you for your interest in applying to the John Lewis HBCU grant. We are calling on all current undergraduate and graduate HBCU students with a passion and a plan to mobilize their campus ahead of Election Day. This grant specifically aims to provide funding for non partisan programming that focuses on one of the following areas: voter registration, voter education, and/or voter mobilization. We are excited to review your application.
Please review the following requirements prior to starting the application:
- Applicant(s) must be a current student(s) enrolled at a Historically Black College or University
- Applicant(s) must be a member of the university-affiliated student organization in which they're applying to the grant on behalf of
- Applicant(s) must have a university official/representative or advisor that will attend one of three mandatory info sessions. Students are encouraged to attend these are well but are not required to.
- Applicant(s) must agree to utilizing Election Protection materials and social media toolkit and, promoting the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline.
