Draycott & Church Wilne Parish Council: Residents' Parking Consultation July 2019
Draycott & Church Wilne Parish Council has been approached by a number of residents expressing concern about traffic problems and parking issues in Draycott. The Parish Council will be holding an open meeting for all residents and businesses in September to discuss our options for lobbying stakeholders to improve village transport issues. This will involve inviting Derbyshire Police, Derbyshire County Council Highways Department and other concerned parties to attend the public meeting. Details of the meeting will be announced by the Parish Council very soon.

You are cordially invited to attend.

One of the options suggested by a number of people was a residents’ parking scheme to combat commuter parking. These schemes are operated by the County or Borough Council and operate on a self-financing basis. Typically the costs to residents and businesses for parking within the scheme are:

> For a first annual resident's permit (First permit) - £35 per annum.
> For a second or subsequent permit, dependent upon the scheme - £50 per annum.
> For an annual visitor permit (dependent upon the scheme) - £13 per annum.
> For a business permit (limited to one per business) - £70 per annum.

In order to find out whether or not the parking problems are widespread and to assess the level of support for a residential parking scheme; we would be very grateful if you could answer the questions contained within this survey.

After the consultation period finishes on 31 July 2019 the results will be collated, and made available to residents on the Parish Council Website. www.draycottparishcouncil.org/

Yours Sincerely,

Draycott & Church Wilne Parish Council
