Thank you for your interest in hosting a San Juan Symphony musician! Please describe your space and we'll match you with one of our traveling musicians. We have multiple concerts throughout the season that require host families. Operations Manager Laura Argotsinger will contact you after receiving this form.
Transportation and food are not expected when hosting a musician.
The musicians arrive on Thursday of our concert weekends. The symphony will connect you and your musician prior to their arrival so you may communicate your address, house rules, important codes, phone numbers, etc. This is helpful because the first rehearsal keeps the musicians in Farmington until 9:30pm, arriving at the Durango host home around 10:30pm. We do not expect hosts to wait up for their guests.
Musicians receive two complimentary tickets to the Sunday matinee performance in Farmington. Please ask your musician if you are interested in attending that performance.
The weekend musician schedule:
Thursday - Farmington Rehearsal 7:00pm - 9:30pm
Friday - Durango Rehearsal 3:00pm - 5:30pm, dinner provided by SJS, Rehearsal 7:00pm - 9:30pm
Saturday - Durango Sound check 3:30 - 5:00pm, Concert at 7:30pm
Sunday - Farmington Performance 3pm
Monday only for October Concert #1 & April Concert #4 - School outreach show
