Tales of the Cocktail 2019 Red Coat Application
Below you will find the 2019 New Apprentice Application (AKA Red Coats). Please read the introduction thoroughly and each question carefully. Please complete all of the sections carefully and honestly.

As you read the application questions and fill in your responses, please remember that the Tales of the Cocktail work week can be strenuous and we more often than not work long hours on limited fuel. If you have any information about yourself (medical conditions, etc) which you think may affect your ability to perform the work please let us know in the comments section of this questionnaire.

This application you are submitting is only viewed and scored by the grading committee, consisting of current CAP leadership. The questions following are your one and only outlet to make a lasting impression to the group. We don't solicit recommendation letters and we don't ask for references, so your personal & honest responses are your only chance to make yourself shine. The applications are graded in two rounds, the first being double blind format in which we are not shown your name, workplace or city or gender and it is graded solely on the essay questions and scores are not shared among the grading committee. It then proceeds to the second round of scoring in which all application information is visible for grading.

With every Tales of the Cocktail there are only 40 new apprentice positions. Each year we receive upwards of 500 applications. Take this as a challenge to make yourself standout, and please understand that we cannot accept everyone.

THE DEADLINE FOR FOR THIS APPLICATION TO BE SUBMITTED IS February 3, 2019 11:59PM EST.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the New Apprentice Application - If you are a RETURNING apprentice the application can be found here:
