Application for Membership - City of Austin Pedestrian Advisory Council (PAC) 🚶🏛️🏙️
The Pedestrian Advisory Council (PAC) advises the City of Austin on planning, policy, design, funding, education and enforcement efforts regarding the creation, maintenance and operation of pedestrian facilities. The PAC is composed of 9 full (voting) members and 10 alternate (non-voting) members. Their monthly meeting agendas typically consist of briefings, discussion/approval of recommendations to local agencies, and community announcements. Though historically they have met in person at Austin City Hall, recently they have been holding their meetings virtually via WebEx. Please visit the PAC’s website to view their bylaws, past meeting materials, etc: austintexas.gov/department/pedestrian-advisory-council.

September 19, 2021 will be the last day to apply for PAC membership this year. Potential applicants are encouraged to attend the upcoming PAC meeting on September 13, 2021. Elections will be held on October 4, 2021. All applicants will be invited to the October meeting to briefly introduce themselves and address the current members at the beginning of the meeting.

If you choose to apply to the PAC, the content of your application will be distributed electronically to all current PAC members and may be posted publicly online. Personal information (emails, addresses, phone numbers, etc.), however, will be redacted by City of Austin staff.
