We are excited to announce our second art camp, 2024 Mat-Su Digital Media Art Camp!! This year’s camp will be held on August 26th - 28th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for youth and young adults ages 18- 24 at Mat-Su Health Foundation, 777 N Crusey St, Wasilla, AK 99654. For this year’s camp, the Mat-Su Youth Action Board took a different approach and shifted our focus toward digital media and graphic design.

In digital media, graphic design creates various types of content, such as websites, social media posts, digital advertisements, and more. The camp participants will learn to create visually appealing content for their business or associated organization, communicate the message effectively, and ensure suitability for digital platforms.

We believe that as the virtual work and digital world continue to grow in our community and statewide, young leaders have the opportunity to develop their basic media and digital skills. They will also have the opportunity to partner with the Alaska Coalition on Housing and Homelessness events that require this specific skill, which they will gain during this camp.
