Application form for NES Artist Residency  Short Stays for single artists.
The old fish salting house in Skagaströnd has undergone major renovation and NES is now offering year round shorter residencies to single artists or couples who are looking for 2 week stays and require no studio space.  Salthús  offers double rooms each with private bathroom plus shared kitchen/laundry facilities, underfloor heating and wifi.    Each double room is around 20m2 and will have queen size bed, desk and casual seating. This accommodation is suitable for digital artists, photographers, writers etc, those who do not require more than desktop work space.

Whilst it is not always possible to supply short stay artists with a studio work space, artists are still welcome to access communal areas of the Fjörubraut Studio to mingle and meet with other artists and participate in our open studio, artist talks and other events if they coincide with your dates of stay. If we have space available we will always offer it to you.

Application process is minimal and all we need is this form to be filled in - our main requirement is that your art practice suits the space we are offering and therefore do not have a formal selection process for short stays.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ACCOMMODATION IS NOT AVAILABLE DURING JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST.
