National Week of Action in Support of Black Migrants (Oct. 11-17)
On October 11th, Until We’re Free (UWF) will be launching National Week of Action in Support of Black Migrants. The Until We’re Free Coalition has urged the Biden administration to pursue restorative immigration policies that are rooted in human rights and human dignity. A foundational element of immigration policy is its grounding in the experience of Black immigrants. The Until We’re Free coalition will launch a week of actions for racial and immigrant justice in this country centered on the critical needs and demands of Black people regardless of their citizenship or their interactions with the criminal legal system.

As part of the launch, we will be partnering with national, state and local partners and allies to highlight the detention and deportations of Black migrants that are emblematic of the system's flaws. We demand that the Biden administration center Black Migrants in its immigration strategy.
