Hep B Free Alameda County Collaborative
Do you see patients with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection? Do you screen those at risk, vaccinate those who are eligible, treat those who meet treatment criteria and screen appropriate patients for liver cancer? Are you interested in helping ensure that these crucial elements of HBV care are offered to everyone at risk for chronic HBV in Alameda County? If so, please sign our pledge and join the Clinician Honor Roll of the Hep B Free Alameda County Collaborative! It is a simple process that can be done right here.

Alameda County has over 1.6 million residents, 23,000 of whom are estimated to have chronic HBV. Too many of these HBV-infected patients either do not know they are infected or may not be receiving appropriate care for the disease. On the heels of a successful campaign in San Francisco that linked many new cases of chronic HBV to appropriate medical care, we are launching a similar, much-needed effort in Alameda County. Our coordinated effort brings clinicians, public health officials and community leaders together to reduce the preventable complications of HBV disease. It begins with this Hepatitis B Clinician Honor Roll Pledge.

The Clinician Honor Roll will be widely publicized among peers, patients and the general public. As an Honor Roll member, you will gain access to support and additional resources, including educational materials and presentations by local HBV experts at your practice. Signing the Pledge for the Clinician Honor Roll demonstrates your hepatitis B awareness and knowledge and engages you with a coordinated, multidisciplinary effort to elevate the quality of HBV care in your practice and in Alameda County.

We look forward to seeing your name on the Hepatitis B Clinician Honor Roll for Alameda County.
