We are seeking sixth and seventh grade volunteers for morning Safety Escorts to assist primary students who are dropped off at the Stribling House Pavilion. Safety Escorts gather and walk the younger guys from the Pavilion to Ellison Hall.
For their service, Safety Escorts are awarded a medal at the end of the year and wear a distinctive blue and gold shoulder cord on their uniforms.
With safety involved, it is important for your son to be punctual. Duty starts at 7:30 am with each Escort serving one day a week for either the Fall or Spring Semester. Each boy will be allowed 2 unexcused absences for their term of service.
Please complete the attached form if your son is interested in being a Safety Escort.
I will have a short meeting with the boys on Thursday, August 22nd at 3:35 in the library. At this time we will discuss the responsibilities of the Safety Escort. I will also give each boy a calendar so he will be aware of his duty days. Official duties will begin on Monday, August 26th. Please complete the Safety Escort form and submit it by Tuesday, August 20.
Thank you for your consideration,COL Steve Marshall
