The Legal Skills in Social Context program at Northeastern Law is seeking local area attorneys who are willing to serve as 1L LRW oral argument judges for Spring 2017. Oral argument is the students’ capstone LRW experience, and is a culmination of their written and oral advocacy skills. We are seeking alumni and attorney volunteers who are able to make either a one, two or three hour commitment to judge arguments between Monday, April 10 and Tuesday, April 18.
You will be scheduled for no more than 3.5 hours (three arguments with 15-minute transitions between arguments). Your time slots will run consecutively, so please select all of the times that you are available. We will contact you by email to confirm your assigned argument times. Closer to the oral argument dates, we will also send you description of the case files, the record, the bench memo, suggested questions, and scoring ballots/feedback forms.
Thank you for your time and interest in supporting Northeastern Law's students.
Sincerely,
Professor Johanna Dennis -
