2. This form is to be used to lodge an appeal for students who need units revised or moved to another term after a census date, due to extenuating circumstances leading to inability to complete a unit within the allocated term.
Please note the Special Circumstances form must be completed within the current study period (the term), after the term requests may be declined.
In either case:
Special Circumstances will only be considered if there is supporting evidence and the issue/reason for needing special circumstances occurred after the terms census date.
To meet the requirement for special circumstances you will need to prove the following:
●
you had no control over the circumstances, for
instance you were severely sick or injured which impacted a significant portion of the term
●
the full impact of the circumstances was after the
deadline to withdraw from study — the census day
●
the circumstances were serious enough to stop you
from finishing your study.
Where special circumstances is being sought by an Advanced Diploma or Graduate Diploma student in relation to client concerns, supporting evidence must be provided on how you attempted to resolve the issue and meet the unit requirements.
