Community Survey: Improving Health for Black Babies and Parents

The U.S. has some of the worst maternal and infant mortality rates compared to other developed countries. Black women and infants experience far higher risks of health complications and death than other groups.

Please take 5-10 minutes to share your experiences and perceptions about this important issue. To better understand these health issues, the Department of Health is seeking input from community members to understand how we can better support new parents and parents-to-be. We want to hear from individuals and their loved ones who were pregnant or who have given birth in Anne Arundel County. This includes Black women, birthing persons and/or their support networks including friends or family.

Your participation on this survey is voluntary and confidential. You can choose to skip any question or stop at any time. Responses are not being collected for research purposes. If you are ever concerned for yourself, a friend or family member, reach out to the county’s crisis warmline at: 410-768-5522 (available 24/7) or seek resources through the Department of Health.
