Golden Apple Nomination Form
Golden Apple Foundation of New Mexico seeks to:
• recognize and reward outstanding classroom teaching, and
• create a professional learning community of outstanding educators (The Golden Apple Academy)
in order to catalyze teaching excellence in our state.

HONORS for Golden Apple Award winners include:
• A $4,000 professional development grant for your continued learning.
• A $1,500 cash award.
• Active membership in the Golden Apple Academy of award-winning teachers

We desire and welcome nominations regardless of a candidates gender, race, ethnicity, or religion.

• They must be employed full-time by their school/district
• They must have taught for at least 6 years, with at least the last 4 years teaching in New Mexico.
• A majority of their current assignment must be in a middle school (grade 6, 7 or 8) classroom in an accredited school
