1/11 Chocolate for Breakfast? Colonial Hot Chocolate 1-2:30pm
Have you ever wondered how Marie Antoinette or Thomas Jefferson liked their hot chocolate? Learn about the fascinating history of everyone’s favorite winter beverage and even get to try a cup of cocoa prepared in the colonial fashion in this hands-on workshop.
1/15 A Night at the Colonial Coffee House 6:30-8:30pm
Did colonists do open mic nights at their coffee shops? Was it where all the 18th-century hipsters spent their days reading and writing? If these questions piqued your interest, then join us for a cup of joe (prepared in the colonial style) as we talk about colonial coffee houses and maybe try a couple of coffee house games. (Don't worry there will be no open mics!)
1/25 Tea Time! 1-2:30pm
Why tea? What makes it so special? For centuries people have been relaxing or waking up with a cup of tea. Today, tea has become one of the most popular drinks in the United States. But how did this happen? Come and find out the steeped history of tea in America!
