GiddyUp Trail Running Festival at Pineland Farms
Welcome to the GIDDYUP TRAIL RUNNING FESTIVAL AT PINELAND FARMS Volunteer Sign Up Sheet, the race is held on May 25th - 26th, 2019. Please select at least one job or shift, you may select more than one as long as the shift times do not overlap. Job descriptions are listed below. VENUE SETUP
Would you like to work at the VENUE SETUP
This job is for the person who doesn't mind getting dirty while setting up the venue before the race. Under the guidance of race staff, you will help unload moving trucks and storage containers, unpack and setup merchandise, move picnic tables, assemble the finish line structure, setup fencing and make sure that everything is in place. Volunteers will receive a special "Farm Hand" shirt, free BBQ meal, drink of choice, and a reusable aluminum water bottle.
REGISTRATION / BIB PICKUP
Would you like to work at REGISTRATION / BIB PICK UP?
You will work with a staff person and 3-10 other volunteers (depending on the shift) to distribute bibs and pre-purchased merchandise to our runners. Shifts are in the registration tent in the Grove at Pineland Farms. Volunteers will receive a special "Farm Hand" shirt, free BBQ meal, drink of choice, and a reusable aluminum water bottle. Once duties have been completed volunteers will be able to enjoy the festivities including food and beer.
FINISH LINE SUPPORT / COURSE GUIDE
Would you like to work as a FINISH LINE SUPPORT?
You will work with 5-6 other volunteers to manage the finish line area. Some people will be inside the finish chute handing out finisher prizes such as cow bells, reusable water bottles, and gear (for 50 Mile finishers). Some will assist in the Runners Only Food Tent cutting up oranges, serving Gatorade and snacks. We will need your help for breaking down cardboard boxes and keeping the area organized and neat. Volunteers will receive a special "Farm Hand" shirt, free BBQ meal, drink of choice, and a reusable aluminum water bottle. Once duties have been completed volunteers will be able to enjoy the festivities including food and beer.
Would you like to work as a KIDS COURSE GUIDE?
The course is a 1km loop that starts and finishes in the Grove area. As a course guide you will stand at a spot along the course and guide the kids in the right direction and cheer them on.
VERMONT 100 VOLUNTEER HOURS
Do you need 8 volunteer hours for VERMONT 100 (or other) race entry?
If you need volunteer hours for the Vermont 100, pick one of these three 8-10 hours shifts. Volunteers will receive a special "Farm Hand" shirt, free BBQ meal, drink of choice, and a reusable aluminum water bottle. Once duties have been completed volunteers will be able to enjoy the festivities including food and beer.
MEDICAL TEAM
Would you like to work with the MEDICAL TEAM?
Work with our Medical Director to provide medical services to our athletes, volunteers, staff and spectators as needed. Positions will be in Medical Tent, finish area and on course. EMT License, RN or MD needed. Volunteers will receive a special "Medical" shirt, free BBQ meal, drink of choice, and a reusable aluminum water bottle. Once duties have been completed volunteers will be able to enjoy the festivities including food and beer.
