Charges for staying past closing time of the After School Program are made through https://parent.smarttuition.com/
NOTE: The school closes promptly at the end of the After School Program and students MUST be picked up no later than 6:00pm. If parents are running late for any reason, they are required to call the After School Program phone at 973-432-4187. However, note that late charges will apply that every 5 minutes past 6pm will be an additional hourly rate (e.g. if you show up between 6:01 and 6:06 = $10.50 per individual/$15.75 per family; show up at 6:11 = $21 per individual/$31.50 per family).
Michelle Park holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Manhattan School of Music. She also has a Master’s degree in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Michelle has been teaching at Teachers College for Music Explorers Program and Teaching applied violin. She also has 8 years of experiences teaching general music and violin with students. Michelle continues to perform in the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony Orchestra and maintains her private teaching studio in New Jersey and New York areas. Michelle hopes, as an educator is to instill in students a love of learning and a love of God and she wants our children at EC to be engaged in music by learning to read, explore, play and perform while having fun and praising God.
Kaycie Satterfield is a recent graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN. She studied Commercial Music as a voice principle. At Belmont, She sang with Chamber Singers, a classical group, and Jazzmin, the Downbeat Award-Winning jazz vocal ensemble. Her senior year, she was selected as one of four finalists in Belmont’s Commercial Showcase, where she played her original music. She has been teaching private lessons for about five years. She also volunteers at Southern Girls Rock & Roll Camp in Nashville each year. She continues to perform her own music as well as work as a freelance guitarist and vocalist alongside her teaching career. Celebrated concert pianist, music director and vocal coach, Aza Sydykov was born into a musical family. At a young age, Sydykov began his formal musical education at the National School of Music in BishkekKyrgyz Republic and at Moscow’s prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatory. After 12 years of study in Russia, finishing his Bachelors and Master’s degrees, Aza relocated to the USA. Since 2011 Sydykov has lived in the United States, where he has continued musical studies with Pavlina Dokovska at New York City’s Mannes School of Music. Sydykov has performed all over the world - in Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Finland, Iran, Ukraine, China, and the United States. A few of his performances include appearances at Carnegie Hall, the Great Hall of The Moscow Conservatory, the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic Hall, the Palace of Nations in Geneva, and the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Sydykov has also served as artistic director of numerous music festivals and concerts. Aza is extremely excited to join EC and is looking forward to sharing his love of music.
WHEN: one day of the week for the full year.
WHO: K-8th Grade
COST: $40 for a half hour lesson, $50 for a 45 minute lesson, and $60 for an hour lesson. You will be charged monthly through https://parent.smarttuition.com/
AVAILABLE TIMESLOTS: from 3:00 to 6:00pm. In order to best fit your needs, we ask that you select three time slots that work for you. You will be contacted via email with your child's assigned time slot after responses are collected. Please be aware that students who may need to take the shuttle to the other campus will arrive at 3:30 so do not request a music lesson before then if needed.
NOTICE: You must provide the instrument (besides piano). Please contact the After School Director if you need a recommendation on where to purchase or rent an instrument.
