Clay works with a variety of third party data providers and connects them to Clay customers who are looking for information about businesses and individuals who work at these businesses. This will often include contact information like professional email addresses or telephone numbers. In doing so, Clay acts as a data processor working on the instruction of its customers per its data processing agreements with those customers: Clay transmits customer queries on behalf of its customers, and the third party data providers return results in response to those queries.

Clay does not control the data supplied by the third party data providers it works with and, as a data processor, is not in a position to delete data or otherwise discharge the responsibilities of a data controller. If there are specific data providers you’re concerned about out we would suggest you contact them directly. If you want to identify the providers you’re concerned about here, we’d be happy to help as best we can.

Insofar as Clay does act as a data controller for any of your personal data we will delete your data as requested. Please note that will not necessarily prevent your contact information from being made available to Clay customers by the third party data providers discussed above.
