National Dance Week Kansas City is an open-air event held at the Ironwoods Park Amphitheater on Saturday, April 6th, 2019. The stage is wooden and raised and will have a Marley-style floor covering. It is approximately 46x32, and there are no wings, curtains, or backdrops. There are restrooms onsite; however, dancers should plan on arriving in costume if possible with warm-ups on over the costume. There is no backstage area; dancers will be free to watch the performances as long as they are lined up and ready to go five (5) pieces before their scheduled time slot. Specific time slots will be emailed closer to the date of the show. The style of the show is casual, open, and friendly, with audience members and dancers mingling. This is a family-friendly event, and music, costumes, and movements should reflect this. Upon submitting this registration form, you are automatically included in the lineup and will be expected to present your piece the day of the event.
