Guest Speaker Session - Brighton
We have four guest speakers throughout the day, a new speaker in every session.

1) Adam Sheldon - Setting up and running your own business (Session 1 has booked up, additional session 2 added)
Our commercial work is in developing and producing short online videos. We make work that’s captivating, looks gorgeous, and tells your story through a campaign of short, engaging, promos rather than in one big chunk.

2) Sam Watts - Running your own games studio
Sam has been working in the games industry for the past 15 years for a variety of global development and publishing studios, working on MMOs like Guild Wars with NCsoft, casual Facebook games for Zynga and a range of agencies creating promotional gaming titles for the likes of Sony PlayStation, BBC, Channel 4, Sky and more. Recently Sam has been heading up one of the UK’s best respected VR game development studio Make Real, releasing launch products for Oculus Rift + Touch. From Quality Assurance to Games Production via a little bit of Game Design and Development, Sam has worked with some of the biggest and smallest budgets to release titles around the world.

3) Sarah Perryman - How to put on an event at a festival
Sarah is the Participation & Development Manager for Brighton Fringe, and works with over 5,000 Participants, Venue Managers and Arts Industry Professionals each year. She started her career as a performer, before moving into Arts Marketing and administration. Sarah has worked as a Stage Manager, a Production Manager, Tour Manager and Front of House Manager. She was a freelance theatre producer for 10 years, taking shows to Brighton and Edinburgh Fringes as well as touring nationally and internationally. Sam is the booking agent and promoter for Brighton Based label and recording studio Small Pond. He also runs his own promoting business called Slippy H.

5) Nick Ford - Freelance Photographer
I have studied photography, and have worked in this field for over 10 years. My background has included working as Senior Photographer and Photo Manager on P&O Crusies & Cunard. This has enabled me to travel the world, to some amazing places including Sydney, Hong Kong and Dubai. I now concentrate on portrait, wedding and commercial photography to meet my clients' individual needs. I operate from my Oxford Street Studio, but still work out on location as and when required.

6) Leon Holder - Sound Engineer and Audio Technician
I have been working in the music and audio industry for little under 10 years. Music and audio are my passion. After attaining my degree, I began working in venues almost immediately. I currently hold the role of head engineer in 2 separate venues in Brighton, Sussex (The Hope and Ruin) (Bleach). Over the past 10 years I have worked not just as an in house venue engineer but also as tour engineer / tour manager and monitor engineer. I have also set up and taught courses in music production and live sound engineering. My work in the industry has and often does take me abroad. I have built up a vast network of links and contacts in many aspects of the industry such as event promoters, music labels, PA and audio equipment hire and function bands as to name a few.
