Dates to know:
Kristin School offers a coaching programme on Tuesdays for advanced fencers in the Roy Munn Gymnasium. Students may also Fence at various clubs within Auckland although 'team' selections are made through dedicated compulsory Kristin School training dates that are made available each year.

Local club information:
JF Fencing can offer Kristin students classes for beginners and advanced fencers in Year 3-13 on Saturday mornings throughout Terms 1-4 in the Roy Munn Gymnasium. There is also a Thursday evening class from 6.30 - 8.30pm. ( please note fencers need to fence at least for a year and have their own electric gear to attend this class)

SECONDARY SCHOOLS Team Training
As with any sporting code, all students competing for Kristin School at the AKSS or NZSS competitions are expected to attend training sessions at Kristin School. These sessions are for the Kristin teams regardless of club affiliation. These will allow team members to develop team ethics and communication.

Season Fees and Costs
TERM FEES:
$20.00 (incl.GST) per Tuesday class and billed as a TERMLY fee only (not billed on amount of sessions attended, only full term fee - $20.00 shown as a break down only).
Fees and competition costs are paid directly through school accounts.

EQUIPMENT:
Every fencer is required to purchase their own gloves.
Female fencers are required to purchase their own chest protector.
Kristin Fencing Club provides Jackets, Masks and Visual Foils.
Note: Fencers who are planning to compete are required to purchase their own equipment.
Updated costs and requirements can be discussed with Judit Fliszar ( Head of fencing , Head Coach).
Kristin branded sports bags are available at $45.00 each. Please contact Judit (limited number available in 2018)

Kristin has introduced the new track suits from 2018. Students should be wearing these when traveling as a team or at events when competition gear is not required to be worn.

Parent Code of Conduct
As a Kristin School parent I will to the best of my ability:
• Encourage my child and other children in their efforts in sport
• Insist that my child plays by the rules and principles of fair play
• Respect my child’s efforts and those of others at all times
• Exercise self-control as a spectator
• Always be positive and never ridicule or shout at players
• Watch my child play and let him/her enjoy the game
• Show appreciation and respect to all coaches, managers, officials and those who volunteer their time so my child can play sport
• Remember that my child plays sport for his/her reasons, not mine
• Be a positive role model for my child in my attitude towards sport
• Never place undue pressure on my child to play or perform
• Understand the laws of the game and how difficult an official’s job is in interpreting the rules

Commitment to Sport
All students who wish to play sport at Kristin are required to fully commit to the teams they play and full attendance at trainings and/games is expected. As part of the registration process all players will be required to sign the relevant registration form, which outlines the commitment expectations for the season. Failure to uphold this agreement may result in players being stood down from games or removed from the team.

Athletes Agreement
As a Kristin sports member I agree to:
• Give my full commitment to my team
• Be punctual to trainings, pre-game warm up’s and games
• Always show respect and courtesy to my coach, manager and supporters
• Strive to achieve my personal best
• Play fair at all times
• Be respectful and polite to the opposition and the match officials at all times
• Wear the correct Kristin Sports uniform with pride for all games and bring the appropriate gear to trainings and games
Athletes Agreement *

Binding Agreement *
I have signed this on my own behalf and on behalf of the student as a parent or in locus parenti. By submitting, I am delivering an electronic signature that will have the same effect as an original manual paper signature.
