We expect a sold out audience of 200+ developers, so this is a great opportunity to reach a large a influential audience of east coast data professionals.
Talk Length and Format: Normally 30 minutes.
Audience: The Mid-Atlantic software data practitioners community (programmers, data scientists, architects).
Topics: Anything of interest our audience, (loosely) in the realm of Hadoop and Spark. We will have room for lots of talks, so a wide variety of topics is welcomed; visualization, search, languages like Julia or R, etc. are great topics, too. If you think Hadoop/Spark data practitioners would enjoy your talk, then please submit it, or contact us to ask about it. Fun or inspirational topics are encouraged, so please feel free to be creative. And this is a conference for everyone, so beginner topics are welcomed, too.
Proposals containing overt marketing-based content will be rejected.
How Many?: Submit as many proposals as you like. Panels or multiple presenter proposals are fine.
Speakers Receive: All of the accepted presenters will receive a free ticket.
Travel: We are a community conference and will not have a travel budget. If your company is willing to pay for your travel, we would be glad to give them credit in the form of a sponsorship.
Code of Conduct: We welcome proposals from everyone, and will evaluate each proposal on it own merits. We expect all of our attendees, speakers included, to follow our code of conduct. See our web site for the complete code of conduct (http://devignition.com/conduct/index).
Video: We plan to record all the presentations, and make the videos available online for free. If this isn't OK, that's fine with us, just please mention it in the submission (in the Message to Reviewers section).
This will be a rolling call, so we might accept and announce some talks as we confirm them. There is no end date, but we will announce when the call is over on our web site, devignition.com.
If you have any questions, please email us at info @ nationconfs dot com, or send us a direct message on our twitter (we will try to follow everyone who follows us to make that possible). Your presentation is important to us. We want to help you make it great.
