The Alumni Council seeks to connect alumni with current OLu students and families. The Council and its committees are made up of alumni from all class years! Time commitment varies depending on the group, but committees are encouraged to coordinate meetings and activities via email or remotely/digitally as much as possible.

SOCIAL - The Social Committee helps coordinate and/or provide support for all social events including, but not limited to, Homecoming Week activities on campus, Homecoming Game reception, Alumni Daily Gatherings, Alumni Brunch, Alumni receptions and bi-monthly mixers

ATHLETICS - The Athletics Committee helps to facilitate, promote and recruit for alumni sporting events. In collaboration with current team coaches and student-athletes, the Athletics committee will work to create alumni vs. student games.

FUNDRAISING - The Fundraising Committee works to create and facilitate fundraising events and opportunities for the Alumni Council to raise funds in support of current OLHS students. This includes outreach to alumni business owners encouraging the donation of in-kind products and services for silent auctions, sponsorships for events like Homecoming, and gifts to OLHS’s Annual Fund.

LANCER MENTORING - The purpose of the Lancer Mentoring committee is to connect established alumni with young alumni or alumni new in certain business industries for mentorship opportunities. The committee will work with the OLHS counseling department to help connect emerging alumni entering college to connect them with current or former students [Lancer Alumni] of that college.

SERVICE - The Service Committee oversees Alumni service day, Missions involvement, and work with OLHS Local Missions to recruit “Team Alumni” at all local service projects alongside current students. The committee will seek service projects within the community to help engage alumni, their families, and current students through service projects.

MARKETING - The Marketing Committee will work in collaboration with the OLHS marketing and development departments to help create messaging and graphics for outreach purposes, event invites, and more. The committee will also function as the main contributors to the Quarterly Lancer Alumni Newsletter and Lancer Alumni Blog. Members of this committee will source alumni stories and class updates for both. Additionally, this committee will support the Lancer Alumni social media account.
