Statement of Support for Colorado Vaccine Access

Colorado's health, education, business and community leaders must take matters into our own hands to ensure that Coloradans of all ages have access to protection against preventable disease. Without broad immunization access, vaccine-preventable diseases will disrupt business, family, community, and learning while straining our health networks, jeopardizing access for those who need care, and causing unnecessary sickness and death.

That's why we're launching Colorado Chooses Vaccines as a rallying point for all those who want to maintain broad access to vaccinations. The groups that have signed on to this statement invite all Coloradans to join us.

Coloradans choose vaccinations as a proven, safe, and cost-saving way to keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy. We recognize that we can't count on federal health officials to keep us safe on this front so we're stepping up to fill the void.

We're going to rely on Colorado ingenuity and determination to rally together and rise to this challenge quickly and decisively, preventing the unnecessary human and financial cost of vaccine-preventable disease. We can't afford to stay on the sidelines. As we enter the school year and respiratory virus season, we invite you to join our movement to support your loved ones as well as all of our state's most vulnerable, from babies to seniors.
