On Sunday, March 17, 2019, we are hosting a pitch party where you can pitch your project idea. This time around, the public will VOTE FOR THE WINNER of $1,000. The event is free and the winner will be announced that evening.
To participate, we have a two step process: First, submit your project idea using this Google Form. Deadline for submission is Monday, March 4, 2019. Remember, Awesome Newburgh seeks projects that benefit and take place in Newburgh.
Second, you will prepare a three-minute pitch that you'll deliver to a live audience on March 17, 2019. The Pitch Party will be hosted from 3pm-5pm at Thornwillow Institute on 7 S Lander Street. Master of Ceremony is Melanie Collins of Blacc Vanilla and more entertainment will be announced at a later date.
Save the Date: Awesome Newburgh is offering optional coaching and feedback on your pitch. If you are selected and interested in signing up, we will host a session on Sunday, March 10 at the Newburgh Free Library's Auditorium.
Hope you will join us and your fellow neighbors!
Selected applicants will be notified first week of February. Each selected applicant will have three minutes to present their idea to a room full of enthusiastic people. Presentations can be with powerpoint, video, or live script. Tell your friends to be there on Sunday March 17th!

We welcome all project ideas, and especially favor those that are open to the public and those that forge new collaborations or partnerships in and with Newburgh. Whether you are young or old, an individual or an organization, have a small and large project- we want you to apply to our grant!
