The Wildfire Animal Assistance Fund (WAAF)
CAPE, in conjunction with a generous California foundation, has created the Wildfire Animal Assistance Fund that is earmarked to provide financial assistance for animals injured and/or displaced in California, Oregon, or Washington communities affected by the recent wildfires or other natural disasters.
The focus of this funding is to assist veterinary clinics, animal shelters, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centers, mobilized animal evacuation groups, resource centers supporting displaced animals, and private parties by providing financial assistance for veterinary and/or nutritional care for individual animals affected and/or displaced by the natural disasters such as fires, storms, and floods in California, Oregon, or Washington. Requests for assistance will be reviewed expeditiously and funding decisions will be made and prioritized on a case by case basis. Please note that funds are limited.
If you have any questions or other urgent animal care needs the best way to contact us is by email at
info@capeanimals.org. The CAPE email is closely monitored.
Note: If you fill out an application that includes more than one animal please remember to provide all the information for each animal listed. Thank you.
