The Third Competition Forum for the Arab region will build on the momentum of the First and Second Forums. In the two-day event, competition authorities, government officials, experts and academics will gather to discuss best practices and the way forward in competition policy. Competition authorities in member states will benefit from peer-to-peer learning based on international case studies and best practices presented by their counterparts from different countries.
The objectives of the Third Competition Forum are to:
● Provide a substantive contribution towards improving economic growth and governance in the Arab region, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals
● Strengthen cooperation and coordination between competition authorities in ESCWA member States
● Inform competition policymaking and enforcement in the Arab region, guided by international best practice
● Collect concrete recommendations on future activities related to advancing competition policy and enforcement in the Arab region

يبني منتدى المنافسة الثالث للمنطقة العربية على زخم المنتديين الأول والثاني. وهو يجمع بين السلطات المعنيّة بالمنافسة ومسؤولين حكوميين وخبراء وأكاديميين لمناقشة، طوال يومين، سبل تحسين سياسات المنافسة. وتستفيد السلطات في الدول الأعضاء في الإسكوا في هذه المناسبة من التعلم بين الأقران إذ يعرض نظراء من بلدان مختلفة دراسات حالة وأفضل الممارسات.
ويهدف منتدى المنافسة الثالث إلى:
• المساهمة في حفز النمو وتحسين الحوكمة الاقتصادية في المنطقة العربية، تمشياً مع أهداف التنمية المستدامة
• تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق بين السلطات المعنيّة بالمنافسة في الدول الأعضاء في الإسكوا
• صنع سياسات المنافسة وإنفاذها في المنطقة العربية بالاسترشاد بأفضل الممارسات الدولية
• وضع توصيات واقعيّة للأنشطة المستقبلية المتعلقة بتحسين سياسات المنافسة وإنفاذها في المنطقة العربية
