The Safe & Secure Downtown program is a new initiative of the Portsmouth Main Street Program, administered by The Portsmouth Partnership, in collaboration with the Portsmouth Economic Development Authority (EDA). This initiative is designed to help property and building owners in the High Street Corridor improve the safety, security, and nighttime visibility of their buildings, enhancing both public safety and the overall pedestrian experience.

The program supports investments that deter criminal activity, aid in law enforcement, and make the district more welcoming for residents, visitors, and businesses.
