Youth in Rural Europe (national partners)
The European Rural Parliament (ERP) is a network and a process that intends to express the voice of rural people and communities in Europe. The 3rd European Rural Parliament will be the parliament where the heart of this process – listening to people and communities – will be strengthened. And in this case, listening to the youth.

This survey is directed to NGO´s, administrations, youth organisations about the general situation in your country. The messages will be presented at the 3rd European Rural Parliament in October 2017 in Venhorst, Netherlands and it will contribute to the future activities.

Parallel to this survey, youth are being asked their views, which are going to be presented and discussed at the first European Rural Youth Parliament in August in Latvia. We call our partners to be part in building a strong, representative European rural youth voice through networking and parliamentary processes under the larger ERP network.

EUROPEAN RURAL PARLIAMENT MANIFESTO (Section 12): “Youth - Many young people are ready to remain in, or move into, rural areas and to take responsibility as farmers, rural entrepreneurs or citizens for the future well-being of rural economies and communities. Young people need attractive employment, well-targeted systems of education and vocational training, apprenticeships based on local needs, access to land, housing and credit, social and cultural activities suited to young people, and specific support to young farmers and entrepreneurs. We call on governments and civil society to meet these needs and to enable young people to participate actively in political processes. We support the call that has been made for rural youth to have their own Rural Youth Parliaments both at national and European level.”
