A grand piano will be laying in its flat side (bass side) on a skid board then placed on a dollie.  An upright may need to be stood on end.

Will the piano need to be transported across a lawn
Pictured below.  Will the piano need to be removed from or installed on a "spider" Dollie or carriage? If you don't know what it is you probably don't have one.  It's an obvious and imposing piece of hardware.  Scroll down for a picture reference.
Note:  We use a different type dollie while moving but these are shown here are semi-permanent installations.

Who is responsible for payment?
I would like Avery to inspect, re-tune and/or adjust the piano about 2 weeks after delivery.   Tuning/repair rates vary by location and intensity of work required and are charged separately from move charges.  Other than the move, we cannot make any certifications on the tunability, playability, or the musicality of the piano until examination by a technician.
