The Sarvodaya Farms Urban Farmer Training Program provides trainees with over 350 hours of hands-on training. We value this training at over $4000. We offer this training at no cost to keep it as accessible to diverse communities as we can. We ask that those with financial means who participate in the program contribute in some way. Dedication and Commitment
Farming can be difficult, physically demanding work that will require heavy lifting and repetitive motions, often in very hot conditions. Explain how you you feel ready for these challenges.

We require all our farm interns to commit to a 28 week internship. Attendance is the primary requirement of the internship with 78 days of attendance required. Can you make this commitment?
Farm Interns are required to attend 3 work days each week. Monday 8am to Noon, Wednesday 7am to Noon, Friday 8am to Noon. Can you make this commitment?

Farm Tools: Every intern is required to have their own harvest knife, and hand pruner. The approximate cost of these tools is $60. Are you able to afford purchasing these items? (We can help anyone who cannot afford their own tools)
We require all interns to sign a Release of Liability Waiver, where you will agree to hold the farm, our landlord, and our farm managers harmless in the case of any injury or accident on the farm. Do you agree to sign this waiver?
