ASSESSING THE SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS OF SEAWEED AQUACULTURE IN IRELAND
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Stakeholders Workshop on Seaweed Aquaculture in Ireland organized by the Irish Seaweed Consultancy and the GENIALG Project.
The event will host two keynote speakers:
- Jean-François Arbona (C-weed Aquaculture, France): "Seaweed Cultivation in Brittany"
- Dr. Jose Fariñas Franco (former researcher at NUIG, now GMIT): "Offshore seaweed aquaculture: a win-win for the economy and the environment? Some preliminary findings from the GENIALG Project"
During this workshop, we intend to create a conversation on the values of seaweed aquaculture. We will be using participatory techniques in which you will have the opportunity to state your viewpoint, share your knowledge, discuss matters with other stakeholders and share the outcomes from discussion. Your active participation in this workshop will be very much appreciated and valued.
