Thank you for your interest in growing local talent through a local apprenticeship program
This program is created by C4ITA, a not-for-profit organization, to develop a pipeline of new talent for the high demand IT field. Talented local students (current and recent high school graduates) are matched with local employers who have a need for software professionals. The selected students complete a 2-year Apprenticeship for Software Professionals (A4SP) program that includes 20 hours/week of paid work with the sponsoring employer and an Associate in Applied Science degree program at one of the local colleges listed below:
Wilbur Wright College at City Colleges of Chicago, is called the Software Development Apprenticeship program (SDA)
The cost of the tuition, computer, books and the entire program fees, are funded by a combination of scholarships, grants and employer contribution. The student is in charge of completing their coursework and meet the necessary needs of the employer.
