Please elect up to 7 At-Large Board Members. If one of the candidates below has already been elected as a neighborhood rep, the FRNNG will have them fill that seat instead of an At-Large seat instead.
About each candidate and why they're running:
Charlie Anhut: During the last two years on the board, I have learned much about the neighborhood and the positive impact FRNNG can have. With a bit more available time now, I look forward to committing more time and energy, and having a greater impact.
Jay Boler: As the owner of a local media organization, Racket, and as a lifelong Minneapolitan, I'm committed to making this great city an even better place. I think that starts at the most hyper-local level, and that's why I'm running for the FRNNG Board.
Ralph Crowder:
I'm a lifelong resident of the Field neighborhood and am interested in
youth engagement, community engagement, history & the Arts. I would
like to continue my service in leadership with values in shared humanity
assisting to helping the Field and Regina neighborhoods access to
resources and support.
Greta Kurtz: I am a young professional Transit Planner with a degree in Urban Studies and am passionate about maintaining a safe and friendly community. I love living in the Northrop neighborhood and would love to see more engagement and input geared towards younger residents and/or renters, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community; representation is of utmost importance in withholding a welcoming community-feel and I am dedicated to doing so. I also think providing a more progressive outlook on what a welcoming neighborhood looks like is important; especially one that supports diversity, accessibility, and sustainable transportation like public transit, biking, and walking / rolling.
Dan Rauchman: I would like to continue the great progress we have made in the last two years.
Julie Stemmler: I care deeply about my neighborhood and want to help to keep it thriving.
Colleen Stockmann: I am eager to continue serving on the board after two years of work cultivating community, rebuilding the Greening Committee, and establishing a thriving Park Stewardship partnership with neighbor-volunteers and the Park Board to remove buckthorn along Minnehaha Creek. With so much momentum, I am running for another term to expand what we started and broaden our relevance and reach as a community-led organization.
Courtney Swayze: Being
from a small town moving to the big city was a little terrifying.
However, once we found a place to live our neighborhood is our own
little town and makes you feel apart of something. I enjoy the work the
board does for the community. I believe the work that is done is a vital
part of our growth and it would be my pleasure to be apart of
something.
