IB students register and take IB exams in grades 11 and 12. WCPS has agreed to pay the registration fees and one half the cost of each exam. The family is expected to contribute the remaining cost of each exam. IB Diploma Program students are expected to complete six IB subject group courses, a Theory of Knowledge course, an extended essay, and a CAS Portfolio. Each IB course requires students to complete an internal assessment and two or three external assessments. If a student fails to complete one course component for the internal or external assessments, he/she will receive a failing score from IBO and will be expected to reimburse WCPS the registration fees and exam costs it invested, including students who qualify for fee waivers. *
