2024 Bio Boot Camps:                                                Needs-based Scholarship Recommendation
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the form on behalf of this applicant and their family. Bio Boot Camps is a program run by the Bohart Museum of Entomology, Museum of Wildlife and Fish Biology, and the Campus Recreation Youth Programs at the University of California, Davis. We work hard to keep our costs to a minimum, but it is still a fee-based camp program ($475 for our full day + 1 overnight junior high camp and $1200 for our week long, overnight, high school camp). However, we don't want these fees to be a barrier to participation. Our scholarships typically cover 50% of the camp fees, but this amount can be adjusted on a case-by-case situation.

This scholarship application has no bearing on the student's application process.

You need to be a non-family member who knows this family's financial situation well enough to attest to and explain their overall need. We don't ask for pay stubs or tax forms as that doesn't fully capture any family's particular situation.

The recommendations are due prior to Friday, March 22, 2024 and scholarships will be awarded by March 29, 2024.  If you have questions, please direct them to Tabatha Yang at tabyang@ucdavis.edu and reference "Bio Boot Camp scholarship" in the subject line.
