Your interest in Beachcities Classical Learning Center is sincerely appreciated. We exist to partner with parents cultivate Christians who glorify God with their wisdom, eloquence and virtue. Beachcities Classical Learning Center uses a classical and Christian methodology to nurture learners appreciation for truth, goodness, and beauty in the pursuit of excellence.
Our staff exemplify Christ through their life patterns, both inside and outside the classroom, demonstrating a deep understanding and love for children, and possessing the professional and experiential qualifications necessary for this ministry.
Beachcities Classical Learning Center does not require state certification for tutors. We have found that our form of education works best when we seek those who share our values and have a natural teaching ability.
For the Grammar and Logic classrooms, we seek the following:
- Classroom experience.
- A passion for classical Christian education.
- A love of children.
- A demonstrated love of books, particularly The Great Books.
- Organizational skills and aptitude for managing a classroom.
- A personal love of learning.
- Applicants must have a strong Christian testimony and be committed to the classical Christian vision.
For our Rhetoric classrooms, we seek the following:
- Experience with or a passion for Classical Christian Education.
- A contagious love of learning.
- A demonstrated love of books, particularly The Great Books.
- Subject-matter expertise.
- A background from a classical Christian or Great Books school.
- Applicants must have a strong Christian testimony and be committed to the classical Christian vision.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong classroom aptitude and/or have excellent teaching references. Teacher certification not required. Teaching experience highly desirable.
Hiring Process
Beachcities Classical Learning Center has a rolling application process, meaning we are continuously accepting applications for various positions. We are always looking to enrich our team with those who have classical Christian backgrounds and a desire to be part of our community of learners. If an opening occurs for which it appears you are qualified, a personal interview will be arranged. Please note candidates may be asked to observe at least one full program day as a part of the interview process.
