PARENT AWARE REDESIGN 

Parent Aware is Minnesota’s quality rating and improvement system for child care and early education programs. Over the past few years, the Department of Human Services (now Department of Children, Youth and Families) has worked with Minnesota child care programs, professionals, families and partners to identify and begin implementation of changes to the Parent Aware system through a set of Parent Aware Redesign projects. This effort was greatly supported in 2023 by a group of 300+ individuals who served as Parent Aware Redesign Ambassadors.

WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION

DCYF has partnered with Portage Partners Consulting to help us manage this redesign initiative, including relaunching the Parent Aware Redesign Ambassador program. As we move into implementation of solutions identified in 2021-2023, we need the insights and expertise of individuals like you to ensure Parent Aware Redesign continues to center best practices and racial, cultural, linguistic, ability and geographic equity. Please sign up as a Parent Aware Redesign Ambassador this year.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Parent Aware Redesign Ambassadors can expect:

- Monthly email updates from Portage Partners Consulting about Parent Aware Redesign efforts.

- Invitations to provide insights, give feedback and collaborate with department project teams through online / virtual meetings and surveys.

The information you provide will help us target engagement efforts by centering those most impacted by potential changes and allow us to measure our success reaching a diverse range of voices. The personal, identifying information you provide below will not be shared beyond the state staff working on the Parent Aware Redesign and Portage Partners Consulting. Our analysis and reporting will aggregate participation data and never include names or other information that could identify you personally.
