Smith in the City: DC 2021 Trip Participant Application
Join us for the annual Smith in the City: DC trip! This trip brings together the University of Maryland undergraduate community and gives all students an equal opportunity to participate in career development and discovery opportunities. Through the SUSA DC trip, students are able to explore a variety of fields that closely align with their career goals, network with professionals and Smith alumni, and gain general insights into the life of a business professional in the DC metro area. Students from any class year are able to apply for one of five tracks, or disciplines, that touch on a variety of areas in order to enhance their academic career.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the trip will be virtual this year. The trip will be on Friday, March 5th from 9:45am to 3:30pm. You can expect to attend 2-3 company visits and an alumni event during this time frame. If you are accepted, we are able to provide a letter from the Office of Career Services encouraging faculty to excuse you from class if necessary.

There will be a $10 holding fee to participate in this trip to ensure that each participant is present for all sessions of the trip. If you attend all parts of the trip, the $10 will be refunded to you.

This application will run from October 27th to November 5th at 11:59pm. If selected, there will be a mandatory general body meeting for the trip held on November 9th at 7pm. Please mark your calendars!
