About This Request Form
House Bill 1605 allows parents to formally request a review of classroom instructional materials. The purpose of the instructional material review is to answer the questions below:
- Are the materials being used in the classroom the same as the ones adopted by the district?
Are they at the right level of rigor?
Parents are always welcome to ask their child’s teacher to informally review materials at any time. This form is used when a parent is requesting a formal district review of instructional materials. Please note that the district is not required to consider a formal review unless at least 25% of parents in the campus submit the same request. If you would like to informally review instructional materials, please reach out to your student's teacher. If you would like to formally request a review of classroom instructional materials, please complete the google form.
