Once you have come for a tour and your application has been submitted, your child may be eligible for a trial day per our enrollment availability. The trial day is an opportunity for your child(ren) to experience first-hand what a day at Rock Tree Sky is like. It is also an opportunity for mentors to observe and learn more about your child.
RTS operates a rolling enrollment schedule, however we do cap our enrollment. Therefore, it is possible that after applying your child may be added to our waitlist. As of October 9, 2022, we have very limited availability in our Kindergarten through 12th grade groups. We continue to have space in our Pebbles program for 2-4 year olds most days of the week. We are working hard to admit as many learners as we can, while retaining our essential child directed mission, and appreciate your understanding and collective commitment to preserving that integrity for all. Rock Tree Sky is not a school, but an enrichment program for homeschool students who are enrolled in a variety of schools. Each school has its own enrollment process, separate from RTS, so you’ll need to check in with each of them to see if they have space and apply.
Those looking at different schooling options may wish to check out our partnership with Summit School Independent Study, which offers its students enrichment at RTS 2 days per week week at no cost to the family. Summit School and Rock Tree Sky have separate enrollment processes and we cannot guarantee admission to either. Summit may also have a waitlist, so make sure to also complete any forms Summit requires. We are also approved Vendors with several charter schools, including Blue Ridge Academy and Golden Valley Charter School, both of which give educational funds that you can use for RTS tuition. If needed, we can help with the process of using educational funds for RTS fees.
It is of the utmost importance to us to have an inclusive and diverse community. Rock Tree Sky has several forms of Financial Assistance available to our families to help with paying any fees not covered by your child’s school.  We do not want finances to be a an obstacle to enrollment, so please don't hesitate to ask if you need financial assistance.
After you submit the RTS Prospective Learner Enrollment Application, you will receive an email confirmation, which will verify submission. We will then reach out to schedule your child’s trial day once we have a space for them. You will need to submit a separate application for each child you want to enroll.Â
