Faculty Chalk Talks (FaCTs)
Faculty Chalk Talks in Genetics, Cell and Developmental Biology will be a forum for faculty across campus to discuss their current research and future plans.

The current conception as we plan our first meetings is based on discussions among about a dozen people.

PIs could give practice talks, present ideas for grants or papers they are writing, present research, present a paper they are intrigued by, or even just lead a discussion of a topic that many others will have ideas about. This would differentiate it from the other groups that have become more for student talks. The talks could be just white board. A few slides would be OK if justified, but many slides, or even a single slide that is highly animated or crowded, would not be in the spirit of this forum.

We will meet on Monday mornings at 9 am.
