The purpose of this form is to help the SSB Mentoring Committee form mentor and mentee pairs. It should take most people 5-10 minutes to complete.

Information entered into the form will remain confidential and will only be read by SSB Mentoring Committee members. SSB will also analyze anonymized information provided here and throughout the year to improve recruitment and operation of the program.

The SSB Mentoring Program Summary page (link) describes in detail what mentees and mentors should expect from the experience. Briefly, each mentoring pair is expected to meet over Zoom for at least one hour per month for the next 12 months. Additional support -- such as extra Zoom meetings, email correspondences, and/or friendly reviews of papers or fellowship applications is encouraged but not strictly required.
