Join others as we launch a new SDCOE/ICOE and K-16 Collaborative community of practice!
In partnership, the San Diego County & Imperial County Offices of Education and the K-16 Collaborative, communities of practice are designed to engage educators who are teaching CTE Education Pathways as well as leaders who are building, expanding and supporting CTE Education Pathways. These communities of practice will highlight best practices, address common challenges, and bring to the forefront learning opportunities for educators and students in these programs.
What to expect - Each community of practice may look different and will be based on the needs of the community, with a focus on ensuring equitable access and outcomes for students across the region. Generally CoPs may include a selection of the following in any given year:
- Professional development and networking
- Virtual gatherings
- Curriculum institutes / workshops
- Opportunities for program alignment
- Sharing of best practices and resources
- Program tours of K-12, Post-Secondary and Industry
- Sharing of related opportunities in the region
Who should join - CoPs are designed for educators, leaders, counselors and others working to build pathways to employment. Each community of practice may have a different audience, but all are welcome to participate. Individual activities may engage one segment more than others, so keep an eye out for opportunities designed to meet your needs. Participants from the following segment are welcome:
- K-12
- Community College
- University
- Adult School
- Apprenticeship Programs
- Certification Programs
- Industry Partners
Thank you for joining us!
