PhilSci-Archive honors requests from our users to change their name and/or pronouns in items they have posted to the Archive. This service is available upon request and requires no legal documentation. We are committed to making the process simple and to implementing requests swiftly.
To initiate a name change request, please enter the email address associated with your PhilSci-Archive account below and click "Submit".
This will initiate a private email correspondence with the Archive Manager and the PhilSci-Archive Editor-in-Chief, which is not shared with anyone else.
You can expect to receive an email within about a week from the Archive Manager requesting more information about the items you would like to have changed, and requesting new versions of these items with only the name changed. You will also be notified once your records have been updated. There are no public notices or records kept about name changes. You are welcome to request that a note be added to the metadata of your items identifying that a name change has occurred, but this is entirely optional.
We welcome feedback from any user about how to make our name change policies and procedures as inclusive as possible.
