For Mock Interviewers:
Welcome! Medical school applicants are starting their interview cycle, and not all of them have the support of pre-med advising. We're hoping to recruit medical school volunteers who have gone through the process to host virtual mock med school interviews ~

HOW IT WORKS: Sign up on this form, we will pair you with a student and you are ready to go! (All you need is as little as 30 minutes you are willing to volunteer!)

Once you send in your availability, we’ll match you with a premed applicant and put you in touch - you can take it from there! Mock interviews will be held in 30 minute slots (or more if you want to); you decide how to run things - a series of practice questions with cumulative feedback at the end or do one question at a time. Applicants will send you their resume/CV/med school statements so you can make sure they’re presenting themselves in the best light, some applicants may choose to do a “dress rehearsal” with their outfit and proper background/lighting and some might do a dry run. They’ll tell you what they want feedback on but this is really just a chance to help folks polish up and feel confident going into their virtual interviews!

Please only put down times that you know for sure you can do, definitely don’t want to disappoint any applicants <3

WHY SIGN UP?
If you’re applying to residency this fall, this is also great virtual interview practice for you! But more than anything, this is an easy, “high-yield” way that we can use our experience to reassure folks during a stressful time, and I think it will be fun. These are volunteer services but we’ll encourage applicants to donate to a good cause of your choice :)

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Fill out this form and we’ll get back to you soon! Happy to answer any questions you might have!

xoxo

Your Year & Med School:
Eg. MS2 or OMS-4, Awesome Doctors College of Medicine (if you are MD/PhD, please mention it here!!)

Scheduling
You will work out a specific time and day with your assigned med school applicant, but give us your broad availability (e.g. M-W evenings EST, weekends 9AM-9PM).
Your availability (including time zone and AM/PM):
Let us know of any blackout dates or weeks!!
How many students are you able to help for the upcoming month?
Each 1:1 mock interview runs for ~30 mins (or as much as you would like)
Clear selection
Extra considerations:
We can't promise that we'll be able to match you up but experiences like being UIM, neurodivergent, even interviewing as a shy person, really whatever comes to mind!
Any particular topics/identities/considerations you feel strongly about?
(e.g. undergrad major? straight out of college or nontraditional path? URM in medicine? Any other affiliations? )
This mock-interviewing opportunity is obviously free of charge, but we did want to give applicants the opportunity to donate $10 to a cause if they do feel inclined (and able).  What organization would you like donations to be directed to?
