2021 KENTUCKY PGA SPECIAL AWARDS NOMINATION FORM
The Kentucky PGA Special Awards identify PGA Professionals in the Kentucky Section who have proved their outstanding leadership in the category selected.  Please take this opportunity as a KPGA Professional to nominate yourself or a fellow KPGA Member in good-standing in one or more of the following categories.

You may nominate more than one member for each category (please separate with comma if nominating more than one candidate). While we encourage you to nominate as many categories as possible, you are not required to make a nomination for every category.

Golf Professional of the Year Award:  The highest honor paid to a PGA Professional.  This professional exceeds in overall performance as a golf professional at his/her facility, level of service to his/her Section, and to the Association, leadership ability, image and the ability to inspire fellow professionals, and promotion of golf.
Teacher of the Year Award:  This award bestows special recognition on a PGA Professional who has performed outstanding service as a golf instructor.
Player Development Award:  This award is designed to recognize individual PGA Professionals for their extraordinary and exemplary contributions and achievements in the area of player development. This award considers the Professional’s growth of the game leadership commitment at the Section and National levels, plus the impact made at his/her own facility.
Youth Player Development Award:  This award is designed to recognize a PGA Golf Professional who is a leader in junior golf, reflects the qualities and ideas of those who work with our nation's youth, and provides opportunities and experiences for juniors to learn and play golf.
Bill Strausbaugh Award: This award is presented to those PGA Members who have made significant contributions mentoring PGA Professionals. The award considers integrity and character, the Member’s service to the Association, involvement in community and charitable activities.
PGA Professional Development Award:  This award honors a PGA Member for outstanding contributions to professional education.
Merchandiser of the Year Award (PUBLIC): This award recognizes those PGA Professionals who have demonstrated superior skills as merchandisers in the promotion of golf in a PUBLIC facility.
Merchandiser of the Year Award (PRIVATE): This award recognizes those PGA Professionals who have demonstrated superior skills as merchandisers in the promotion of golf in a PRIVATE facility.
Merchandiser of the Year Award (RESORT):  This award recognizes those PGA Professionals who have demonstrated superior skills as merchandisers in the promotion of golf in a RESORT facility.
Deacon Palmer Award: This award recognizes PGA Professionals who personally display outstanding integrity, character and leadership, in the effort to overcome a major obstacle in their life.
PGA Golf Executive of the Year:  This new award bestows special recognition on a PGA Golf Professional who has performed outstanding services for a multiple facility/course management/ownership operation, Allied Association or golf industry executive management position.
Assistant Professional of the Year Award: This award is presented to an Assistant Professional who possesses outstanding qualities of leadership, strong community involvement and a substantial record of service to the PGA, KPGA, their club or employer, and the game of golf.
Sales Representative of the Year: The Sales Representative of the Year Award was established in 1998 to honor a Sales Representative who partners with the professionals of the Kentucky Section in order to enhance the golf professional's business.
Patriot Award:  This award is presented to a PGA Professional who personifies patriotism through the game of golf and demonstrates unwavering commitment and dedication to the men and women who have valiantly served and protected the United States of America.
Media Representative of the Year: The Media Representative of the Year Award was established in 1998 to honor a media representative who promotes the PGA and by doing so helps to elevate the organization to a new level of respect and prestige throughout the Kentucky area.

Your nominations will be forwarded to the Special Awards Committee.  Nominees will be notified and asked to complete the Special Awards Questionnaire and submit any optional supporting material(s).  Once the Awards Committee has finalized the top candidates, the Board of Directors will be notified.  Any concerns by the Board of Directors will be finalized at that time.

Nomination Forms are due by November 30, 2021.  Nominations will NOT be accepted after the deadline!
