Improving Students' Analytical Writing (ISAW) Workshop Series
Improving Students’ Analytical Writing (ISAW) is the California Writing Project’s nationally recognized program that provides teachers—secondary, community college, and university—with a professional community focused on empowering all students to write academically, analytically, and engagingly. Join us for a four-day hands-on collaborative workshop that will introduce strategies designed to be used with a wide variance of student demographics in order to address the disjunction between the critical reading and academic writing skills of secondary students and the demands of post-secondary education. All strategies will correlate with the Common Core State Standards and will coordinate with the Expository Reading and Writing Course that is currently in use in middle schools and high schools. For more information on ISAW, you can visit: http://californiawritingproject.org.
